My CO2 savings
Every KWh or MWh generated through renewable energies contributes to the reduction of the global CO2 “footprint”. The same principle applies as in the circulation of cash money through the economy: A Euro note paid into an account in Munich and collected in Hamburg from an ATM is certainly not the same Euro note, but it is still your money. The renewable energies coming from your specific investment is your share in avoiding CO₂ emissions. A magnitude of calculators exists in the internet, that allow to identify the CO2 savings using a number of input parameters.
Example:
An 80sqm household with an annual power consumption of 2500 kWh per year equals a CO₂ saving of 4,71 tons, if solar energy generation is deployed. (Source: www.myclimate.org)
